Susan combines over 20 years of marketing expertise with a deep understanding of the healthy, active lifestyle consumer. A master storyteller with strategic vision, Susan’s approach is to take a hands-on role in the creative planning, strategy, development and growth of mission-driven brands. Susan has been actively engaged in the natural products, personal care and nutrition categories and has worked at New Hope Natural Media, Vitamin Angels and Holistic Primary Care among others. She is intimately involved with the key players and issues in the healthy living space.

Susan’s capabilities and expertise include media relations and publicity, media research and assessment, executive visibility, community relations, event planning, social media outreach and co-branding/strategic partnership opportunities. Susan holds a degree in Social and Organization Psychology from the University of Massachusetts and lives in Boulder Colorado, one of the epicenters for the natural products industry.

Sally cut her content creation teeth the old-fashioned way— through editorial roles at some of the most successful women’s magazines around, including Vogue, Glamour and Real Simple. A prolific writer—with expertise in nutrition, health, beauty and natural living—Sally’s work has appeared in The New York Times, Prevention, Martha Stewart Living, Yoga Journal and countless other print publications. She has co-written several New York Times best-selling books, teaming up with celebrities such as makeup artist Bobbi Brown and supermodel Christie Brinkley. In the digital realm, she helped create two of the most successful blogs on the msn.com Healthy Living channel (where her most popular post generated over a million page views) and contributes several times a month to the Food Network’s Healthy Eats blog.

As Editorial Director for Black Dog Studio, Sally brings her 20+ years of editorial experience to help brands tell their stories in a compelling way. She understands the ins and outs of effective storytelling and can use that knowledge to create effective content that will establish credibility and brand authority and engage customers in a way that drives digital traffic, creates buzz and translates into greater success.

With a background in advertising, corporate marketing, and consulting, Holly Mitton Irgens has over 14 years of experience in marketing, helping companies refine their marketing strategy and communicate their message efficiently. Her specialty is working with small to mid-sized businesses and startups to help them establish their brand story and increase brand presence to their target audience.

Holly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Stonehill College and lives outside Boston.

For more than 25 years, Sara has led and supported various consumer brands across issues management, media relations, corporate communications, investor relations and consumer engagement. She has worked on the agency side as well as the corporate side, both for multiple years, which brings a unique perspective to her experience.

She is married and lives in Conifer with three kids, including a daughter (13) and twin boys (9). Whether it’s hiking, skiing, paddling or camping, she loves to be outside.

She helps wellness and nutraceutical brands refine their messaging, ensure DSHEA-compliant content, and connect more meaningfully with consumers, retailers, and practitioners. 

Her work spans digital media, editorial strategy, brand storytelling, and training, with a focus on translating complex scientific and regulatory information into clear, credible, and engaging content. Known for her ability to bridge the gap between science and storytelling, Julie supports brands in building authority, trust, and long-term market relevance.

Taryn Hennebicque is a marketing strategist and storyteller who helps brands, entrepreneurs, athletes, artists, and authors build visibility and engagement. She specializes in media relations, strategy, partnerships, content development and events. With 20 years of experience across health and wellness, consumer products, sports, education, lifestyle, publishing, and non-profits, Taryn has worked with Disney, Burton, Procter & Gamble, Vail Resorts, Pfizer, Boxed Water, Mountain Dew, MINI, Ben & Jerry’s, Skinnygirl, Estroven, SeroVital, and more. She co-founded the Vermont Donor Milk Center and lives in Vermont with her husband and two children.

In her career she has handled everything from media relations for consumer product launches to media training C-suite executives to developing a PR strategy for the cruise industry at the height of a global pandemic.  In her decades in the trenches, Sarah has touched a wide array of industries.
